I just wanted to post this to save others the time that I spent today on trying to restore a Windows System Image on a machine that had been updated to SP1. After applying SP1 to WIndows 7 and taking a system image backup, If you try to boot from your original Windows 7 DVD to commence the restoration you will be told that your system image is invalid. Presumably the same thing would happen if you used a system repair disc that was created pre-SP1. The trick is to create a new System Repair disc after applying SP1 and booting from that instead. After doing this my restoration worked just fine. I hope this helps others avoid the problems that I"ve been having! Sean
